Set in the historical grounds of a 12th-century monastery, Minthis is the oldest golf course in Cyprus. Originally designed by Donald Steel, who was renowned for directing play in all directions, the course was recently updated and further improved by Tom Mackenzie and Martin Ebert, who have worked on eight out of ten British Open venues.
Minthis is not only a resort course but also a Members Club that hosts numerous open tournaments throughout the year, including in summer, when a cooling breeze from the Troodos Mountains provides relief at an elevation of 550 meters. With its own Academy and a full PGA-qualified Head Professional, the club offers lessons at all levels. Notably, the 5-day package for beginners allows those new to golf to earn a ‘Certificate of Competence’ by the end of the program.
